Planning ahead is one of the most important steps you can take to protect yourself and your loved ones. Exclusively for SAFRA members, join us for a 1-hour informative session on the Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA), conducted by SAFRA volunteer lawyers.
An LPA is a legal document that allows you to appoint someone you trust to make decisions on your behalf should you lose mental capacity in the future. In this session, you will learn:
✅ What a Lasting Power of Attorney is
✅ Why having an LPA is important and what happens if you do not have one (including court-appointed deputies)
✅ What powers can and cannot be granted under an LPA
✅ How an LPA protects you and your family
Whether you are new to LPA or simply looking to understand how it works, this session will provide practical insights to help you make informed decisions.
Please note: This session is for educational purposes only. No LPA registration or certification will be provided.
*Registration is open to individuals aged 21 years and above only. To register, please complete the registration form here with your details. A confirmation email will be sent upon successful registration. Each valid SAFRA member may bring along up to one guest only. FREE Legal Information
SAFRA Legal Information Service (SLIS) is a complimentary benefit for SAFRA members, providing access to volunteer lawyers who set aside time from their professional commitments to offer general legal information and guidance. Established in 1994, the service aims to help members better understand their legal concerns and available options.
SLIS is available exclusively to SAFRA members. Registrants must hold a valid membership at the time of the legal session, and the service is not open to non-members.
Private legal sessions are conducted once every quarter, typically from 7PM to 9PM. Registration opens one month in advance and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
